Creative Photography on Dartmoor - Experiments with DIY Lens Filters

I’ve really enjoyed using filters on my lens recently - it’s so good to play and create new and unexpected results!

I played with a v DIY approach at the weekend using a sheer fabric tied onto my lens with an elastic band + the lens hood to see what would happen.

It was fun how it gave a hazy effect on all the shots, and I edited them to emphasise the dreaminess.

On shaded scenes it softened the detail, it brought a crosshatch texture when zoomed in, and when the sun is shining or when there are bright points of light, those bright patches glow in X shapes. ✨✨✨✨

Excited to play with this again soon in different settings and environments! 😍 Here are a few of my favourites.
