Personal Brand Photography in North Devon - Gen Boast - Beyond Human Stories
I have soooo many favourites from this shoot and I love working with Gen. This session took place in Sept 2020 and was our third time working together, this time in spectacular North Devon.
There’s something amazing about collaborating multiple times… we have a creative flow with each other that deepens and expands every time, and it’s so special to explore that together.
Gen and I always intend to create photography that evokes a feeling, gives insight into her being, shares her relationship with the natural world and with the other-than-human realms.
Exploring gorgeous natural locations we had so much fun playing and creating new images to illustrate her writings, assisted by our gorgeous friend Lorna over the days (she’s also one of Gens creative collaborators & co-author of their latest book!).
Well before our session we reconnected to explore the themes and energies that wanted to come through in her new set of photos, reflecting on the archetypes and elements we wanted to represent and incorporate, based on what she’s working on.
We connect with the season, with the rituals, traditions and symbols of each quarter and play with those too. Our fluid style of collaborating always results in both the realisation of our visions for photos and lots of joyfully unexpected shots too!
Gen works with her clients through the Storyhack Studio, sessions for the mind, body and soul, and her year long Soulistic Journey program which involves monthly calls, meditations and trainings. The work is deep and explorative as she supports her clients to tune in to the narratives they live with, and re-story what no longer serves.
The author and co-author of two books, Tough Bliss and The Soulistic Journey, you can check out her writings here. She also hosts monthly Zoom webinars for those not currently signed up to her programs so you can get a feel for the further offerings! Find out more on her website here, and check out her Instagram at @beyondhumanstories.
