As a fellow artist it was an absolute treat to spend time with brilliant costume designer & maker, Sarah Juliet, in her colourful London studio. Having known Sarah for a few years, it was exciting to learn more about her work, her expansive vision and imagination, and what exactly goes into the process of designing and making for TV, stage and film.

Sarah creates a feast for the eyes with her fabulous work, taking inspiration from the circus, carnivals and beyond, so we wanted her warm and vibrant personality, fun, inventiveness & explorative nature to come through in the photos, while also showing her as the skilled and dedicated professional she is. It was great to capture moments with her team and see her passion for lifting others, collaboration and support in action, too.

I sooo enjoy capturing this kind of ‘day in the life’ shoot. Getting a glimpse at what goes on behind the scenes is always so compelling for our audiences yet we so often take it for granted that people know what we do!
