Personal brand photography for massage therapist - Silvia Maquirriain
As I look back at these photos from my session with massage therapist Silvia, I am transported to the very special space that she creates for her clients, an environment of rest, healing, and deepest nourishment.
Silvia was looking for beautiful images that gave a glimpse into the powerful work she does, for her website, social media, and promotional materials.
Far from the bright, clinical massage shots we often see, it was important to her that they felt warm, calming, uplifting, nurturing and inviting… like you could dive into the experience for yourself when you see the photos!
In her work and life, Silvia draws on many healing modalities, spiritual traditions and science, sometimes incorporating meditation, polyvagal theory, breath practices, and more.
We wanted to showcase what’s special and different about her massage… how it is floor based, for example, allowing for a wider range of movements, to work with her feet, and for her to use gravity in a stronger way.
We wanted to highlight her use of hot towels, herbal powder, and importantly that she is available for pregnancy massage and has the necessary equipment to allow pregnant people to receive massage while safely lying on their front.
(Note/FYI: to create a diverse range of images and examples of her work in the photos, we had three different clients of Silvia’s come along to be photographed, one of which was pregnant. Her massage is tailored to the unique needs and wants of each person, so what you see here would not necessarily be how she works with every-body.)
I hope that from these photos you get a sense of the depth of her work, of her warmth, and of the deep care she takes and connection she shares with her clients and their precious bodies.
