When you have clarity on your desires, you know what you're going for and are aware of how close you are in relation to what you want.
Brand photography is an investment in your business and will absolutely help you to expand, grow and create connection, but only if it’s relevant and in alignment with your brand.
Here are a few questions I always ask my repeat clients ahead of their next shoot to ensure we take the learnings, and create the most impactful photos for their next chapter!
Questions to journal on:
Which photos from our last shoot made the biggest impact in your business & Why?
Which handful of photos did you find yourself using again and again? (....and again, and again, and again)
What about these photos made them so useful?
What do we need to take from this, for your new photos?
Which photographs created the most engagement and connection with your peeps?
Which photos did you most love and enjoy sharing?
Which posts that involved photography converted followers into clients?
Check back on your posts and see what was popular, which posts were most liked or commented on, which adverts converted.
What kind of images were you missing? What would it have been useful to have more of?
Perhaps a greater variety of outfits or locations? More head-shots, lifestyle shots, or images with specific props or people?
What do you want your clients to know about Me now?
When you have the answers to these questions, you can start thinking about your business plans for the next 6-12 months and what you'll need from your photographer this time around.
You'll be clearer about what you'll want to come away with this time, what worked best from before, and get the MOST out of your next shoot.
