Getting back to photo shoots (yay!) & support for your next personal brand session!
So very exciting to have been getting back to shoots this month! I’ve loved travelling to photograph incredible women, including the amazing @annaandersoncoaching yesterday who I’ve had the pleasure of working with also in 2019. ❤️
The idea of having your photos taken can feel intimidating, & whether you love being in front of the camera or not, it’s something that many of us are learning to show up for as part of our businesses more regularly.
Engaging, personal photography has become an essential brand-element if you have a website or use social media.
It’s so amazing to have this level of control with your photos in terms of how you present yourself, what stories you tell thru your pics, the ways you express yourself in the portraits & invite clients in. But I know it can also feel like a lot when you’re unsure of how you want to present yourself, have no idea of the process from *thinking about photos* to having great photos, or are nervous about being in front of the camera.
Know, that...
💙 it’s okay, natural & normal to feel a bit nervous about it (or a lot nervous!). Having photos taken is unusual for most of us & sooo many of us have had experiences that put us off. You will warm into it once you get started & your photographer should support you through it. I’ve had clients who were initially v nervous that ended up dancing & literally hair-tossing by the end! It can be a laugh AND super powerful for your business
💙 choose a photog who puts you at ease, whose work you love, who takes the time to get to KNOW you & gets what you’re about
💙 ask yourself ‘what if it could be fun?’. (As the lovely @kkalp once asked me.) So often we think of all the negative ‘what ifs?’. And yes, it’s important to prepare, & then allow ourselves to imagine, ‘well, what if it went well? What if I enjoyed it? What if the photos turn out great?’
💙 You’ve got this!
There are just 2 spots for shoots before September & I would love to get creative with you. Message me and we’ll find a time to speak!
(I always forget to take phone photos on shoots so it’s so lucky when someone else does! Thank you @gracegarrettmua for these BTS snaps with the beautiful inspiring Anna!)
