Exmoor Nature Photography - Webbers Post
A little bit of that Exmoor magic from an early November walk. ✨
I finished my hike in the dark that day, forgetting how early the sun would set! As I slowly realised halfway through that I’d be walking the last couple of miles in an unknown valley, following an old route from a book published in the 80s, in darkness with no phone signal, I felt a bit stupid for not thinking this through… but also, there was the odd sign and I had my OS map and a torch.
I made it back fine, and a beautiful peace came over me as I felt the mild autumn breeze, watched the rising crescent moon and listened to the whisper of the remaining birch leaves in the quiet wildness of it all. I was also greeted by two red deer hinds who were having a munch, and who were unusually chilled out in my presence. Exploring here is so nourishing, and somehow so loving.
