Nature photography on Exmoor: January 2024

I think I have discovered my favourite colour combination of ALL TIME and they feature in many of these images from a recent trip to Exmoor… the yellowy green mosses of many varieties, miniature pink-teal succulents, the blue greys of lichens, frogspawn ponds and the overcast skies.

These colours and textures bring so much joy and wonder to my heart.

It blows my mind to be able to capture it like this - to document these moments of pure beauty.

Back in January my partner and I returned to beloved Exmoor for a few days to celebrate his birthday. It was so special to revisit some of our favourite places.

Here are a few photos from a circular walk from Watersmeet to Lynmouth and back again, before the sun went down.
