Personal Brand Photography in Rutland - Louise Edmondson - The Homeworker Magazine
I was so happy to get to photograph the lovely Louise Edmondson earlier this summer, our second shoot since the launch of her online magazine The Homeworker a few years ago.
The Homeworker magazine exists to inspire and uplift those of us who work from home, provide tips and tools to support our working lives and our personal wellbeing. Full of thought provoking articles, interviews and recommendations, the magazine focusses on sharing valuable content that motivates its audience and brings readers together. (I was so honoured to write an article about personal brand photography in 2019!).
Louise needed fresh shots for her brand to reflect all the changes that have occurred in her life and business.
Alongside images that showcase the magazine in both digital and print form, story-telling shots that would be relevant to her posts, we were keen to get lots of shots of Louise in her office and favourite spaces. Her personality, writing, design and of course curation is a huge part of what makes The Homeworker what it is, so bringing her face and energy to the photos was an important element.
We had explorative conversations in the lead up to our day to clarify what kinds of images would be most useful, and what stories we wanted to tell. From there, I created a plan for our time together with a thorough shot list!
It was so fun to get creative with her on a very warm and sunny July day in beautiful Rutland in the East Midlands. Here are just a few of my favourite images.
If you work from home or know someone who does, check out out The Homeworker here! You can find Louise on Instagram here.
P.S. As you’ll see, Louise has a gorgeous office in her home, but I couldn’t resist getting a shot of her amidst her kids art, toys and homework as you’ll see in the final image! I think it represents a side of working from home that doesn’t always make it to the grid.
