Exmoor Nature Photography & End of Summer Updates
Took a bit of an impromptu break from socials the past couple of months and it has been refreshing! It’s been a full time with some truly awesome shoots in the Lake District, the Devon coast & Kew Gardens, as well as my lovely clients homes and favourite venues. Looking forward to sharing some images from these beautiful sessions soon.
I also celebrated my 29th bday here with friends at our lodge in West Somerset and camped out for a few weeks which was amazing, returning to beloved @kneppsafaris for the fourth year (my 13th visit!). It was incredible to watch the musters of storks gliding together in spirals, 38 strong! My favourite bit of camping though may have been making friends with the mole beneath the tents tarpaulin in our garden, so cute and fun to watch him running around under there and poking unsuspecting friends from below!! I am fully anthropomorphising little mole but I do feel like we’re buddies now.
Went up to the woods to shoot some personal work on Sunday after shooting very little for myself for a while. I’ve avoided the woods right here by the house since early spring because there are a lot of ticks unfortunately. (The end of tick season is something I’m really looking forward to about autumn and winter! Excited to reunite with my favourite trees up there!)
My partner has been growing some veg in the garden so I’m enjoying reaping the benefits of his work and love, and also the total abundance of blackberries! It’s harvest time and many plants are offering their gifts in exchange for their care and the spreading of their seeds. Here are a few photos from my Sunday camera meditation round here.
